Love was in the air at Himley Cricket Club
Thursfields recently shared some Valentine’s love by sponsoring a Mr and Mrs event taking place on Valentine’s Day at Himley Cricket Club.
The game show format was extremely popular in the 1970s with the TV show hosted by Derek Batey frequently exposing couples lack of knowledge about each other.
Event organiser Steve Saul said, “We had all bases covered with our sponsorship, we had Thursfields Solicitors in case things didn’t go well and Gemport Jewellery in case it did. Thankfully the jeweller picked up more business than the divorce solicitor on the night, but who knows afterwards when the couples returned home and debated each others answers.”
Corinne Mullard from Himley Cricket Club, “We are looking to organise more midweek events in the club and have several football nights booked with former Wolves and Albion players.”
Over 30 couples took part on the evening with Tara and Nick Aird coming out on top and winning a Sunday lunch for two supplied by Patshull Park Hotel, Golf and Country Club.
