About Amanda
As a trainee solicitor, I did a lot of claimant personal injury work. When I qualified, my first job was in-house at a motor insurer- defending personal injury claims. These two roles taught me the power that comes from being able to see both sides of the story, and in knowing exactly what you would do, in your opposition’s shoes.
I progressed, in large private practices, to counter-claims fraud. This taught me that not every story is truthful, but the truth can often be found, in the background.
My current role is in the internal audit and compliance team. I look behind the excellent work that my colleagues do, to ensure that not only are we achieving a clients’ aims, but that we are doing so whilst still meeting all of the ever more complex regulatory requirements under which we practice.
