Thursfields advises on family team’s purchase of Worcester café
Thursfields Solicitors has helped a family-led business to purchase a popular café in the historical heart of Worcester city centre.
Experts from the Birmingham office advised the Evans-Fisher family on the acquisition of The Market Café in The Cornmarket last month.
The Market Café already offered a full variety of hot and cold food under its previous owners, and the Evans-Fisher family now plan to expand the menu and develop the café in The Cornmarket, an area originally laid out in around 1200 AD.
The Thursfields’ team who worked on the deal included Sarah Monaghan on corporate aspects, Shauna Halls and Kirsty Underhill on commercial property law, and Lisa Kemp on employment issues.

This is a great café, and we’re really enjoying settling in with our fantastic team led by our manager Laura Kennett. We’re currently planning how to take the business forward with some ideas to expand with catering for business lunches and licenced opening in the early evenings”.
