Thursfields highly praised in latest edition of the Legal 500

Leading West Midlands law firm Thursfields Solicitors has once again been commended in the latest edition of the UK’s ‘industry bible’, the Legal 500.

The company, with more than 130 staff at five offices in in Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Solihull and Birmingham, has maintained its positions in all tiers of the guide.

In the Family section, Thursfields was praised for its “very high standard of client care” and for having “bags of integrity”.

Philip Rea was newly named as a “leading individual” in the Family section and was described as “a gifted lawyer who sees each case from every possible angle”, while practice head Shane Miller was noted for her “wealth of experience in financial matters”.

Hannah Nicholls is named as a Rising Star, with one testimonial noting: “Hannah Nicholls is destined for great things. She is already a star in the field of family law. Eilidh Rose is a star in the making. She is a lawyer who is mature beyond her years.”

In the Corporate and Commercial section, Thursfields was noted for attracting “considerable praise from a number of SMEs and owner-managed businesses, who turn to the team for its capabilities in multi-million pound transactions”.

Gareth Burge retained his “Leading Individual” and Tim Edwards is noted as “Next Generation Partner”.

One testimonial said: “Thursfields are the ideal size to provide legal services into the SME market by having a full range of services but not being too large so that they can still provide the personal touch to the relationships with their clients.”

Another said: “The team stands out from its regional competitors having a wide range of deal experience on par with the leading national firms.”

On Commercial Litigation, Thursfields was described as “savvy and sensible”, led by a “pragmatic” and “very smart” Stephen Rome.
